Captain Hook is the main villain in the Book by J.M. Barrie about a boy who didn't grow up and forever battled Hook in the magical realm of Neverland.
I have worn 2 versions of these the first was hired from a costume shop and the second a mash up from several places.
First Outfit
I first wore this cosplay at the Autumn London MCM in 2016 with my daughters as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.
The outfit was hired from a fancy dress shop and was very good if a little heavy and hot.
This was a very succesful group cosplay and we were stopped many times for photos which was great.
Unfortunately the fancy dress shop closed down a short while afterwards and sold off their stock but I was too late to get the Hook outfit but did buy another pirate outfit to go with some other bits detailed below.
Second Costume
I bought a Hook outfit off the internet but, apart from the coat, it was pretty rubbish.
I used the trousers, shirt and waistcoat from the pirate costume I got from the fancy dress shop.
A set of over boots, a pirate cutlass and hook also off the internet and it was ready.
Unfortunately it was nowhere near as good as the original one I had and I have not worn it since.
I aim on updating the outfit soon which will feature real boots, a homemade foam cutlass and pistol plus a hat that actually fits me!
